Experience

Professional experience of Gowtham Sridhar covering XR prototyping, human-robot interaction, and applied human-computer interaction research in Austria and beyond.

Career Timeline

  1. Junior Scientist

    10/2023 – 11/2026

AIT - Center for Technology Experience

    Vienna, Austria

Helped design and develop WISPER, a human-centered, generative AI language-support experience for young children with natural, adaptive, intuitive, and age-appropriate voice interactions. Architected autonomous and human-in-the-loop multi-agent workflows with LangGraph, n8n, and Model Context Protocol (MCP), connecting self-hosted LLMs to tools and external services. Developed a multimodal virtual AI agent combining vision, Llama-based models, Whisper Large V3 speech recognition, and neural text-to-speech for natural Human–AI interaction. Designed and deployed self-hosted, privacy-sensitive, data-resident AI infrastructure with vLLM, Ollama, SearXNG, Docker/Podman, and local compute; worked on LLM inference, model deployment, and GPU optimization for interactive applications and internal AI services. Contributed to Human–AI interaction design for XR safety with AI-assisted hazard recognition.

  2. Junior Researcher

    04/2022 – 05/2023

    Salzburg Research

    Salzburg, Austria

Contributed to applied AI and intelligent robotics research through ArUco marker detection for computer vision and navigation, Panda robotic arm collision avoidance, and voice-controlled robot manipulation, combining visual perception, motion control, and intuitive interaction for human–robot collaboration.
